The Sarasota City YMCA, run by the YMCA of Southwest Florida, offers Active Older Adult programs and group exercise classes at 1075 South Euclid Avenue. It was formerly known as the Sarasota Family YMCA; the old sarasotaymca.org website is no longer in use.
The YMCA of Southwest Florida's older adult programs include exercise classes, social gatherings, clubs and pickleball. A second Sarasota branch, the Palmer Ranch YMCA, is at 8301 Potter Park Drive, (941) 922-9622.
Call (941) 955-8194 to ask about membership rates, class schedules and any discounts. Some Medicare Advantage plans include gym membership benefits, so ask your plan.
