Our earlier listing named an "Orlando Senior Ride Service" that we could not find: its website does not exist and its phone number used a fictional 555 exchange. This page now lists the Orlando area's public door-to-door ride service, ACCESS LYNX.

ACCESS LYNX is the shared-ride paratransit service of LYNX, the transit authority for Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. It serves people who cannot use regular buses because of a disability or other limitation; eligibility depends on ability, not age. Riders apply first, and the process may include professional verification and an in-person assessment.

Fares for trips under the Americans with Disabilities Act are $4 each way when both ends are within three-quarters of a mile of a bus route and $7 otherwise, and a personal care attendant rides free.
